Assam Flood Relief Campaign
Recent floods in Upper Assam have severely affected the districts of Charaideo, Sivasagar (Sibsagar), and Jorhat following continuous heavy rainfall and cloudburst in Nagaland. Thousands of people have been displaced, with many villages submerged and roads, bridges, schools, and agricultural fields damaged. Relief camps have been set up to provide food, shelter, drinking water, and medical assistance to affected families. Government agencies, disaster response teams, and local volunteers are carrying out rescue and relief operations. Authorities are also assessing damage to infrastructure and embankments while planning rehabilitation and long-term flood management measures.
